MINUTES
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT FUND
AUGUST 17, 2009

A   REGULAR   MEETING of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees Retirement Fund was held on Monday, August 17, 2009, in the Main Room of the Senior Center.

Present were Mayor Ryan J. Bingham, Corporation Counsel Ernestine Yuille Weaver, members of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees Retirement Fund Richard Dalla Valle, Michael Colangelo, Elinor Carbone, Thomas Jerram, Marie Soliani, Drake Waldron, Richard Friday, Delisse Locher, Nancy Michna, Joseph Manes, John Schnyer, and Raymond Drew, Personnel Director Thomas Gritt, and Administrative Assistant to the Mayor Stephen Nocera.  Members Mark Kugler, Gail Gillette, and David Prahm were absent.

Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

MINUTES #18
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Soliani, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held on July 27, 2009.

MINUTES #24
Councilor Jerram made a motion, seconded by Councilor Colangelo, to accept the minutes of the Special Meeting held jointly with the Board of Trustees of the Police & Firemen's Pension Fund on July 27, 2009. It was noted that the minutes should be corrected to reflect David Prahm's attendance at the meeting. Councilor Jerram amended his motion to include this correction, Councilor Colangelo amended his second and the Board unanimously approved.

PENSION COMPUTATION: G. Bickford #48
On a motion by Councilor Dalla Valle, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the Board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Gerald Bickford, Master Mechanic for the City of Torrington Water Pollution Control Department, effective August 4, 2009, after having completed 26 years of service with the City of Torrington with an additional 4 years under the Early Retirement Incentive Program, bringing him to 60 yrs of age for the pension calculation.

BUS: BOARD OF TRUSTEES #56
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Dalla Valle, the Board voted unanimously to consider business from the Board of Trustees.

ADJOURNMENT #61
On a motion by Councilor Colangelo, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 6:35 p.m.
